tokyo international forum

tokyo international forum (東京国際フォーラム) is a complex in the yurakucho / marunouchi district of central tokyo. it hosts arts and cultural events, exhibitions, and concerts. it also contains shopping and restaurant facilities.

the architect was rafael vinoly designer of the controversial ‘walki-talkie’ building in the city of london. unlike the london building, often described in terms of its bombast and insensitivity to its surroundings, the international forum has an elegant and graceful form a tour-de-force of what can be done with steel concrete and glass.
