emin-neon.jpgthe white cube gallery reminds us there will be an opportunity to get to hear tracey emin, one of the most enduring, yet always among the most controversial of the group of london artists who came to be dubbed collectively as YBAs back in the day. ms. emin herself has somehow found herself re-branded in these few short years as an almost respectable grand-dame of the britart establishment. she smiles from the publicity shot for the event benignly, with a thoughtful finger to her cheek, and the arched eyebrow, implying someone far removed from the days when she would wander on and off TV sets, too drunk to know where she was.

the event is sponsored by time out and will concentrate on her recently published book ‘one thousand drawings’ and promises to reflect on how these works reflect the course of her life.
