one friday morning, before one saturday evening

borough, london bridge and a sunny day in early june

I happened to be in the southwark and borough districts of london last friday morning. there’s a small japanese hairdresser’s in the area that i usually go to every four weeks or so. it was a beautiful late-spring morning. sunny and a cool breeze was blowing. i’ve recently acquired a new 20mm lens for my ‘serious’ camera, and i was seeing what it could do. these are some of the images. borough market and the london bridge area have become incredibly popular with locals and tourists alike, particularly since the opening of the shard. london bridge affords vistas of one of the wider london sections of the thames. it really is at the heart of london.

what happened the following evening, and as i post, has brutally pushed what was current into the historical. Just a memory, another time.
