cafi started this website about three years ago, and have tried to keep it up and running periodically ever since. my initial idea was to put together a series of observations about (primarily) the london art and design scene, although there was no grand design on my part — i just thought it would be fun to try. since then i’ve learned a lot about things like the perils of poor art direction, the dangers of tinkering with html, css, and php code, and just how good –or not– my photography is. i’ve also learned how to deal with the instantaneous loss of months of work. all of this has been done on the powerful yet friendly blogging platform, WordPress.

while you’re here, take a look at my longer pieces of writing (yes, i’m a freelance journalist)  — listed in the small column on the front page, and on the block above the welcome message. this website is now heavily indebted to the neutica theme designed by allan cole, whose other wordpress theme ‘autofocus’ i’ve used for my photography showcase under my nom de web justin imidge (who’s a much nicer fellow than me.

i am seriously looking for serious collaborators here, so if you’ve written anything you think i might be interested in posting here — or if you have an event or show i might be interested in, then please get in touch
