this panorama was assembled from four separate photographs. taken from the rim of the caldera of mount aso in kyushu, japan. it is one of the biggest caldera in the world, approximately 90 km in circumference. the still active central mountain of aso san itself can be seen in the centre of the picture on the horizon.
