thames barrier park is a modernist park design which combines formal modernist geometric topiary with wildflower meadows. the hedged ‘wave’ feature, and dancing fountain, nod to
all the performances of human art, at which we look with praise or wonder, are instances of the resistless force of perseverance; it is by
pre-digital, armed only with my polaroid camera — i’m tempted to revive it. you will find here: Picasso, brancusi, jean-paul sartre, simone de beauvoir, jean seberg, henri langlois, and
the alhambra palace hotel. could have been designed by cecil b. de mille. maybe it was.
