just spent a month in what should normally have been ‘rainy season’ japan. however, as most of us now recognize; climatically, there aren’t really any ‘normal’ seasons anymore. the days alternated between full summer sun, and rainy humidity. with one or two exceptions every day was in the mid-thirties (celsius) or higher. stepping out from the arctically air-conditioned interiors was like stepping fully clothed into a high temperature steam bath.

the effect on my (always questionable) creative instincts wasn’t really inspiring, so i’m somewhat disappointed with the work i’ve come back with. such was the heat that it also disrupted my concentration on technical matters; exposure, focus, and so on. i’ll try to post my best when i’ve culled the worst of the rubbish, and promise i Will-Do-Better-Next-Time.
