one of the largest caldera in the world, as well as containing several large towns, and thriving farming communities, japan’s mt. aso area is also
pictures from kai aso, a modernist ryokan in kyushu’s kumamoto prefecture. blazing hot in summer, at over 1,000 metres the temperature on november mornings rarely exceeds 0°C.
